in reference to your letter of 17th May acknowledging the receipt of a sealed copy of the Norman's affidavit implicating a certificate of my recovery interpreted by you by the addition "from insanity", I do not know whether Mr. Norman had formed an opinion as to my sanity before the date of his affidavit and think that the addition of the words "from insanity" would more correctly denote his views on the subject.
2. Before the Master in Lunacy acting with judicial powers I traversed the only allegation of insanity against me on the file, that being the report of Mr. Turner, as answering itself by its own verbosity and mentioning that Mr. Norman had before him the relevant portions of this affidavit.
3. Mr. Norman has stated all through that I entered Comberwell House on an assurance from my cousin Dr. Cecil Carstairs that I would only be required to stay there 4 or 5 days or at most a week and in conversation on...
